Male Wizard Model Close-up

Woo... it's finally here:

http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/characters/wizard.xml

Just click the male symbol...

Although he looks quite too skinny (he's a wizard, so it doesn't matter) I actually like it a lot... He does look a little bit feminine, but not in a utterly-horrible-anime-male-femeninity manner...

What do you guys think of him?

|||I must say he is not bad, but i think they changed the pallet from white to red, as seen on some dune videos.

And funny he has more (visible) earrings than female of his type. But it must be aesthetic only, as magic rings are allowed one per hand.

In the end he is just young wizzard, in (probably) heavy armor with a little twist and 3 scrolls strapped to right side of belt.

But i wonder what is his basic appearance.|||magic missle and slow time demos have also been updated to represent the male

i like him.

why hasnt there been any update news regarding this?|||I dont really like it. It looks IMHO childish and quite femmenine, I see no power, no a rebel vibe that is so characteric of the diablo IIIs wizard idea. I just hope it will be updated to look more like in the concept art, more arrogant and dangerous. Thoughts?|||he doesnt look young on the concept art which is missing the point... he is meant to look young

if you read the story underneath the wizard, be it male or female, it is meant to be young and mischievous. i think it suits the lore.

i think that the barb and monk are our older characters so i am really against your opinion strongcoffee. yes the art picture he looks better but i think that you need differences. as time goes on you will get sick of the fact everything is ticking appearance boxes.

of course it is your opinion, but... i like him and think he is right.|||He looks too feminine. Compare his demeanor with the female wizard... the female wizard looks more powerful and confident.|||I like it. In these kinds of games I am much more concerned with spell and casting animations than how the character looks idling. Ill spend most of my time killing, so as long as that looks cool I am good.|||Quote:

Dont get me bad, amigo. I completely suport differences, and I agree, he should look young, lore-wise, but the current model doesnt give me a powerfull idea, he looks more like a halfling rogue from an D&D game. Maybe some more masculine (I say masculine, no macho) features could improve it, someway.

And thanks for the respect in your opinion, you have the guts but also the brain and politeness to discuss a topic. I respect that men|||I'm not keen on the idle animation, or the fact that both models are looking downwards. Other than that I guess he looks alright.|||The character model looks pretty good actually. It reminds me of Jet Li from his Chinese movies, primarily Hero. I think the "looking down" facial posture is meant to imply concentration, focus, and mental alertness while the smirk and body movement implies confidence and arrogance. The female model pulls the former off better as she doesn't move as much, while the male character simply just carries over the arrogance.
