wiz vs fcr vs mana vs all

okay, i am making this topic, to see what rest of wiz/sorc fans think should be done about life sacks solutions.

we all read fantasy books ( at least i think all did ) and all of you i am sure read that wizzies and sorcies can teleport out of danger faster then blink of an eye, or cast almighty spell faster then warrior reaching for his sword, or that simple lighting made huge hall in somebodys body ( thats damage related, ignore for now )

so all i wounder right now, how much fcr should wiz have? how fast should he casts his spells? how fast should he use up his mana?

i agree that some super powereful spells should take more then 1 second to cast, but arcane bolt... isnt that low level magic and can be cast when mage asleep without 2nd thought?

so big question is, how fast do we want to see our toon to cast?|||Problem: Wiz no longer uses mana and thus may not necessarily WANT to cast super fast depending on their new resource system.|||Quote:

but whole point is to make game fantasy realistic, right?

so how about having so much fcr, and good mana / whatever system that could support it, and kill everything with unbelievably fast spells? |||My hope is that they outdo d2 and have it go to ridiculous speeds. For instance (and this is an IAS example), it would be cool to take IAS up to the point where regular shot looks like strafe. Same with FCR on magic missile and other spells with low AoE that don't hit too many things at once.|||Quote:

That seems quite fun tbh, and as long as they don't make it too overpowered over other affixes, I'm happy with something like that.

It also makes me think of the haste+hamstring combo for Vanquisher in Torchlight, where the increased movement speed stacked(Or maybe they even multiplied the total, God knows. It has to do with speed as well, m'kay?). At that speed the enemies were next to you before they were even in your viewing-distance. Vroom, I say.
