Sadly, I've yet to do it on purpose. Of course that just makes it funnier...
I'm not critical of the lack of innovation in character design, but changing the sorc's name for D3 seems an entirely calculated move so they could say that only the Barb is a returning/repeating character. Even though not one fan would have batted an eye if they'd just called the D3 mage a Sorcerer/Sorceress.
- D1: Eastern wizard styled male mage character called the Sorcerer
- D2: Eastern wizard styled female mage character called the Sorceress
- D3: Eastern wizard styled male/female mage character called the... Wizard.
I agree with everything, except not being critical of the lack of innovation in character design. That I am critical of. It's amusing actually, how they have shown no innovative character or act so far. Don't be surprised if act 3 takes place in the jungle. And I really mean that.
The monk would probably be the most innovative in terms of character design. And I personally dislike the monk. Playing a monk just seems really disconnecting and... boring. Imagine a game of 4-5 monks "auto" teleporting around, filling the screen with blood. The horror.|||The WD is fairly unique for Diablo.
And @ the monk: what do you mean by disconnecting and boring?
If the style of play isn't in line with how you play, then yes it'd be boring, but how disconnecting? The Monk seems just as skill and focus intensive as a sin was in D2.|||Quote:

I don't know mate, I guess I don't like how one of his main skills makes you lose control of him all the time. It seems disconnecting. For me this will most likely lower the satisfaction of killing stuff. I wasn't a big fan of the assassin either, but at least she didn't fly around the screen all the time.
The witch doctor is hardly unique. More like a new take on the necromancer. I like the witch doctor though. Unlike the monk, he feels like Diablo.|||dual wielding sorc ? Like one staff in each hand ? I'd really like that !|||Quote:

I was thinking more along the lines of two wands.
