Post Your Wizard Spell Ideas...

So, just wondering if people have some spells that they'd love to see the Wizard get in DIII. Here are a few I'd like to see:

1. Freeze Beam: Disintegrate but with cold damage. I know I know, not very creative on my part, but it would be nice to see a pin-point accurate, long-range cold spell.

2. Gravity Wave: A wave of gravitons emanates from the Wizard, crushing your enemies under their own weight. The bigger the enemy is the harder they fall; the spell will deal lots of damage to creatures like the Siege Beast and Thousand Pounder, but little to Fallen and the other more impish creatures. Also outright destroys most skeletons and flying creatures, as their body structure and penchant for heights make them extra vulnerable to this spell.

3. Vortex: Opens a rift in space-time, which slowly grows larger as it sucks in loose debris. Deals little damage at first, but quickly becomes devastating as it grows. Think of this spell as a wizard's answer to the Sorc's Meteor spell; slow windup with a killer finisher.|||Quote:

Freeze Beam already in game lol. Its ray of frost - check storm tree

Number 3 - im 100% sure something like black hole will be tier 5 skill in arcane tree, also arcane orbs looks like mini black holes to me. So this makes me think there 100% will be black hole spell|||Quote:

Whoops, I totally forgot about that one. Good call. Guess I'll go ahead and make up a spell for the Conjuring tree to make up for the mistake?

Acid Slime: Conjures an oozing, acidic slime that eats dead bodies to grow bigger and will actively hunt the Wizard's enemies. A spell like this should work a little better since (I am asuming) there won't be any Necromancers complaining about using up the bodies.

Also, though it is a bit off subject, the Witch Doctor totally needs a shrink spell. You know, shrinks the target so that they can be squished like one of those rats or beetles if you stomp on it.|||Arcane Hamster Ball:

Creates an impenetrable sphere around the caster, damaging enemies and knocking them back as he/she runs. Very short duration.

Basically an escape for the wizard. Think of energy shield + molten boulder|||I was thinking of this kind of spell to.

A Protecting Arcane Orb will be amazing.

Anyway, I actually like a lot the skills we've seen so far and I'm sure Blizz will introduce us to even better ones.|||Quote:

Bodies can't be used by players in D3.|||I want a spectral spear.

I big magic line (think purple disintergrate but more narrow) that only hits once, no long hold down, that you wizard can impale his/her enemies upon.|||Quote:

An Arcane Bone Spear?|||i would like to see a spectral scythe , where she generates a purple scythe from her hand, but its sort of attached to her hand if that makes sense.

not a whole scythe. just part on her hand and then the hooked blade a bit further down.

i would like to see hurricane move where its knoc back this way the effects wold be cool. or something like sandstorm which rips away the enemies flesh.

erm.... also i would like something like and ice wall i think the wizard needs a wall and the ice would be cool. it would shard up out the floor towards the enemies.|||Scythe sounds too Assa(ish).

Hurricane would be great, but they should just improve her already existing Wind spell.

Ice Wall sounds AMAZING!
