[:1]I hope that the runes change what form the familiar takes. If they are animals, one rune could make it a bear, another a wolf, or a bat or a hawk or an owl.. And so on. It would also be cool if they were elementals and each rune changed elemental type similar to hydra. Because they cannot tank or take damage they will be a little strange to implement, hoping for more than just the druids raven.|||I am rather hoping no animal themes with them. Elemental could work, but it would be nice to see something cooler and more abstract, more fitting with "forbidden super duper magics" theme.

Would a mini-beholder be too much of a copyright infringement? Cause I could go for a floating eye that pews pews enemies.|||Quote:

You mean a Nightmare?|||How about some sort of cosmic entities like Cthulu? Heheh.. but I'm kind of serious. This familiar needs to be into the theme of the Wizard. Space/Cosmic things would be very welcome, awesome and fitting. I don't see monsters, elements or technology as familiars, but weird cosmic entities with strange shapes and looks. Nothing realistic...

Reminds me a little of the five God Hand members in Berserk, although they have humanoid aspects: http://berserk.wikia.com/wiki/God_Ha...f_the_God_Hand

It would be a great oportunity to expand the lore of the Sanctuary universe.

I could even see the Flying Sphaguetti Monster as an Easter Egg xD
