[:1]I really enjoyed seeing this progression picture of gear for the wizard:
I reminds me of one of the art pictures that are available on arreat summit for the sorceress, which back then really gave me the picture of how she should be. Don't get me wrong, i do like and love the way the sorceress actually looks in Diablo II, but that artpiece simply put it all together.
Oh dear, she is a powerful beauty
I see similarities to the way the wizard looks now.
The last stage of armor progression in hell, just puts it right. It might remind a wee bit of a direction going into the manga section, but still it hits the spot!
What do you guys think? Happy with the looks we are getting?!|||Looks pretty good (especially compared to the other classes). The third armor set on the right looks like something geared towards a lightning build. It would be very sweet if our armor appearance changed to compliment our build then again there's the armor dye feature.
Edit: Reminds me of an armor set from an MMO I played a while back

Compared to Monk and Demon Hunter, Wizard armor sets got away nicely |||The only set I disliked was the third Monk set, and even that might look fine in game at a reasonable distance.
You know, like some somewhere in orbit. Around Mars.|||That progression picture is awesome! I'm a bit torn in between the second and third "tier" as I like the diversity of colors in the second compared to the third. But then again, the third one doesn't look bad at all. Although, character appearance isn't THAT important, looking cool while slaying loads and loads of demons never hurts! *flex*|||Quote:

Oh definitely! In game looks are part of what drives me to grind / raid / pvp for that next armor tier in MMOs. If we farmed like crazy in D2 for school uniform items (because they all looked the same, i.e. typical shako + vipermagi armor look) how much more for gear that actually looks cool |||Quote:

I completely agree. It would be nice to see some diversity between characters rather than generally having one desired piece of equipment that everyone uses.|||Don't really like it. The color (what's with the white/silverish 'holy paladin' glow?) and the helmet make it look like something from a Super Sentai series. Like in D2, I like the 'unarmored' original character art most. In D2, I liked 'invisible' armors on the sorc. (like the circlet) so I could still see the original model.|||Quote:

I reckon there will be some heavy farming for that certain dye and/or armor, for sure! Not sure how much of each armor we'll be able to dye differently, as I've not looked too much into it, but having some possibilities in that department would be nice (aka, not just using one color/option for the entire armorset we'll be wearing).

To each his own I suppose, but to me that third tier has more of a frosty look than 'holy paladin' look. In fact, as StarMage pointed out earlier, I think it looks like that wizard can dish out some serious lightning damage as well!
And, as a side note, the wizard's stance is just incredibly attitude-y! |||
If this is any indication I think the wizard is going to have pretty sweet armor.
